SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (December 9, 2009)—AYKsolutions, a provider of Shared, Reseller and Dedicated hosting solutions, announced today it has introduced Cloud Servers, offering high-availability, enterprise-level hosting architecture for small to medium sized businesses. Unlike traditional shared or dedicated hosting architecture, which relies on single servers to host the operating system, services, and account data, AYKsolutions’ new Cloud Servers utilize an integrated Storage Area Network (SAN) that centralizes data storage and provides exceptional protection against hardware-related data loss. The SAN, powered by HP StorageWorks, is configured in both RAID 10 ( which both mirrors data and provides fault tolerance), and additionally in RAID 5 (providing a highly unique additional level of redundancy). The new Cloud Servers are virtualized with VMware’s vSphere™ technology, which enables the users to setup highly available and fault tolerant clusters with multiple hardware nodes. If any single node experiences failure for any reason, VMware will automatically move the affected sites to a backup node in less than one minute, thereby sharply reducing the possibility of any downtime. Starting at $319 per month, Cloud Servers include Dual Intel® Xeon® 5506 or Dual Intel® Xeon® 5520 processors, cPanel (optional at no additional charge), and 1 vSphere™ license with vCenter management panel, enabling the user to remotely reboot, move and alter his or her nodes. All Cloud Servers will be hosted in the company’s Atlanta data center facility. “Cloud hosting is undeniably the new frontier in hosting. Its success is predicated on the notion that businesses will continue to place a greater emphasis on uptime, data integrity, and long-term stability. We’ve implemented our Cloud Servers with a laser focus on meeting those needs,” said Artyom Khmelnitsky, president of AYKsolutions. AYKsolutions currently offers dedicated servers in five American cities, including Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, and Miami. Monthly dedicated server plans start at $69 and feature a variety of configuration options, including *Nix/Windows platform choices, control panel choices, and hardware choices.
